Privacy Policy

This is a placeholder. Plant Pulse has not shipped a product yet and has no live user data collection beyond this waitlist form. This page exists so the site's information architecture is complete, per the product's working rule to keep "privacy and terms placeholders for legal review" ahead of public launch (see docs/mvp-roadmap.md Phase 6). Do not treat this as a final, legally reviewed policy.

What we collect today

Right now, the only data Plant Pulse collects is what you submit through the waitlist form: name, email, country, number of plants, phone platform, and your beta/hardware-interest preferences. This is stored via Netlify Forms.

What we'll collect once the product ships

Per our data model (see docs/data-model.md and docs/security-and-privacy.md in the project repository), this will include account information, plant profiles you create, sensor telemetry from your Plant Pulse device, and any photos you choose to upload. We plan to give you the ability to export or delete your data — see docs/security-and-privacy.md for the current plan.

What we won't do

We won't use your data to train external AI models without your explicit consent, and the sensor itself has no microphone or camera — see the Trust section on our homepage.
